New York State’s Largest Community Center LGBTQIA+ Library Collection
We are the proud home of the largest publicly available LGBTQIA+ library collection of its kind in New York State. The agency’s library contains over 10,000 items including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, rare books, early homophile publications, magazines, films, music, and a complete physical run of the Empty Closet.

We have books, movies, and music available for circulation. You can borrow our library items to read or watch at your convenience! Borrowing privileges are free, but we ask that if you are able, consider donating to financially support the library: Donate Today
Library card rules:
Each item may be checked out for 3 weeks
You may check out up to 5 items at a time
You may renew your library items via phone or email (585-244-8640 library@gayalliance.org)
Fines may be assessed for lost materials
